Normal

So today was a typical day. We had school. The weather was nice and hot...Other than that nothing of real importance happened. But I do want to talk about what I had for lunch. I had a soup that had noodles, beef, and veggies in it, nothing too crazy. But we also had rice cakes with honey in the center, delicious. It is a chewy, soft candy that had a honey filling. The honey filling isn't as sweet as you might think of honey as being. Anyway, below is a picture, I didn't take it...

Is this the school lunch? Do you usually eat with the students or in the cafeteria? How much is a school lunch or is it one of the perks? Is there a choice of items or is it like ours? They sure look pretty. Are the rice cakes doughy?

I know I'm way past my limit on questions :)

Love Mom

Mom, yes this is school lunch. I eat with the kids everyday. They bring the lunch to the classroom. It is one of the perks...There is no choice but there are so many side dishes that if I don't like something there is something else to eat. They aren't doughy because they aren't really dough. It is so hard to explain what they are like because there is really nothing like it in America...I like the questions...
Jill, thanks! It is fabulous...You can try all the things you want to try once you come to visit me. Erica is thinking about coming in the spring, maybe you should think about joining her...Have fun cooking the fish!
