SO this weekend I was pretty busy. I guess my friends think I am lonely because this weekend was spent meeting Korean guys...
On Saturday, my good friend Erika (of Judy and Erika) took me to Apgujeong to meet one of her friends from the University she went to in the US. So his English of course was very good. We got along great. We met for an early dinner and then we to a pub where they brew their own beer. I don't typically drink beer but I have to be honest, I think I will be going back to this place for more beer. It was amazing. I liked it and could kind of go for one right now... While we were at the pub we played my new favorite game, Hwatu. He is a lot better than me, but it was nice to play...After that we went to Norae Bang where he would pick random English songs and expect me to sing them. I knew all of the songs but they weren't songs that I was all that good at singing. He sang some Korean and English songs too. Then we called it a night. Recently he wrecked his car (wow, we are like 2 peas in a pod) and so he has nothing to drive so we were both forced to take public transportation home...
On Sunday, I met with a girl named Minhee. She is one of the girls I went to the strange night club with a couple months ago. She invited me to go to an art gallery with her. Not that I thought this was completely strange, but generally the two of us only drink together. SO anyway, I went to Insadong to meet here and couldn't find the Starbucks we were supposed to meet at so I had to meet her at the 7-11 (wow, am I really in Korea?) and when she got there she was all like "This is my friend, we are going to see his art today..." This is when I started to understand the situation. After the art gallery where the art was good but I was bored we went to a traditional Korean restaurant. We ate Korea seafood pancake, Korean beef and noodle and tofu kimchi and drank makeolli, traditional Korean rice wine. I personally love this stuff. I loved it so much that I was drunk by about 4 in the afternoon, on a Sunday. Anyway after a couple drinks the both of us started talking more and stopped relying on my friend to translate when we really didn't need her to...
Overall it was a good weekend and if nothing else I met 2 more people to study with! Ciao for now...

Maggie, hehe yeah I'll pretty much drink anytime...My one rule is that someone else is there, this keeps me from being a closet alcoholic. Yes, I have aquired a "affinity" for Korean men. We call it "Yellow Fever..."
